11/03/19 We had our dose of adrenaline before our planned activities today thanks to Morgane who collapsed during breakfast. Probably too tired from the long trip and due to the heat (and a drinking night last night?). She wanted to join us for the activities for the day but felt too weak, as she started to feel nauseous on the van we all agreed that she needed to rest so she stayed at home with Xa. I was a bit worried because she hit her head on the floor but a doctor came by to check on her.

Keith took us to a park where we could drive with quads through the sugar cane fields, enjoy a beautiful view of the island and have some fun on seven ziplines.

Hanging in the air flying over the trees with a magical view on the turquoise sea was quite special. Some of us were a bit nervous but no one chickened out, I was proud of the team! It was good fun.

We were glad to see that Morgane had better colours when we came back at the house.

12/03/19 Today is catamaran day! A full day sailing and beach hoping on the beautiful light blue water, not much can beat this! We were a group of about 30 people as some family and friends from Keith joined us to reduce the price of it. We also had a chance to do snorkling. What a life ?.

Kem, the housekeeper invited us to his place for a typical Mauritian dish, a bol renversé, sort of fried rice shaped with a bowl on the plate, with an egg on top. Delicious! We danced on his terrace, met his kids and lovely wife. They taught us sega, their dancing skills and threw baby powder on the floor to ease our moves on the dancefloor. As we had a DJ among us, the music was good, but also loud. The neighbours put their radio out and tried to compete with us but we could not hear them at all ?.

13/03/19 We left at 5.45am to jump on a speed boat and join others in the sea to swim with dolphins. The first time I jumped into the water I started to have strong pain in my left ear, probably the pressure when I jumped, so I could not swim at all but the second time was great. I thought I filmed the dolphins with the gopro but I did something wrong so I could catch them, I could only enjoy the experience :).

We stopped later closer to the beach and enjoyed some snorkling while the crew attracted fish with some bread.

We had lunch on the beautiful island ‘île aux bénitiers’ where the skipper cooked us a delicious bbq on the beach. We did some souvenir shopping and a boat shop stopped by to sell us more items.

I went into a friendly fight with Flo and as the sand was made of full pieces of seashell, I cut my foot pretty deep on one. I didn’t feel anything when it happened, but back on the boat Flo noticed there was blood all around my foot.

On the way back, we made our own party on the van, and despite the music level being super loud, police officers we crossed did not react to our behaviour.

The group made pasta carbonara and we invited Keith and his lovely family to join us.

14/03/19 We Left at 11am and took a shuttle to a boat for the day. We spotted monkeys, saw a nice waterfall, went fishing, snorkling in a lagoon in a natural reserve, visited an old lighthouse and cherry on top, had late bbq lunch on a beach where they dressed up a table for us. We had the  best chicken, fish and lobster, and a lady came to offer passion fruit and coconut rhum tasting. And of course we had flame bananas for dessert. We picked up sea shells and star fish on the beach then went back on the boat as the sky was getting stormy.

We played a few rounds of Werewolves as Cindy never played before and she enjoyed it very much.
