24/12/18 I landed with 3 degrees only ❄️⛄️. I surprised my mom who was at home in pyjamas and didn’t expect me at all. We had dinner with my brother and they both accepted the invite to spend Christmas day at our friends house.
25/12/18 We went to the (very) local Christmas market in our town as a family then drove to our friends house where we had a great time and ate more than we should have, as it is usually the case during end of year celebrations.
28/12/18 Vanessa came to share some sushis for lunch before going back to work.
29/12/18 Mom and I went to Liege at the Christmas market, had some nice food and drinks and met with Xa who worked there and Morgane for a chat.
30/12/18 My aunt picked me up and we visited my stepdad at the hospital and grandma at a care house before having dinner.
31/12/18 My brother came home so we bought some last minute groceries to celebrate the New Year. We ate too much and played Yahtzee before going to bed too late.
01/01/19 Charlotte came for a visit and we went out for lunch together, and Jojo picked me up with his brother for dinner so I could spend some time with Zara, my dog.
02/01/19 Flo came for a visit and we went out for dinner. After leaving the restaurant as we realised we were the last ones, we hoped to find a place in the city for a drink and finish our conversation but it was too late on a second of January, we got refused entry to 5 bars and had to finish the night early. This town is really dead after 6pm! ?.
03/01/19 I finally have some time to waterproof my travel equipment and update the blog.
04/01/19 It was lovely to catchup with Greg Lori Gege & Julie at Jojo’s house.
05/01/19 As the train ticket to get to Luxembourg was the same price as renting a car for 4 days, I drove to Luxembourg to meet with Flo, Quentin and Xa to celebrate Xa’s departure to Sydney. Their cousins and partners were there too and I slept there before driving back to Wavre. We played a few games and made too much noise as the neighbour threatened to call the police ?.
06/01/19 We celebrated Arnor’s bday with the family.
07/01/19 Bought a laptop for Mom to celebrate her retirement and bought a few things for my trip then met with Steph M. for dinner at Happys.
08/01/19 Flo came over with Sia Aaron and Lili to have a crepe party. The kids had good fun and finished their homework after dinner before leaving.
09/01/19 Dinner with Cha and Mathilde in Grez-Doiceau.
10/01/19 Last dinner with Mom and Vivi, we went to La Sultana, Marrocan restaurant for a disappointing couscous.
11/01/19 Time to repack then and Mom and Vivi drove me to the airport.
